Peggy found Astara nearly twenty years ago, as she says, "one drizzly morn while driving nowhere in particular, in an emotional quandary." She noticed people filing into a chapel at Astara’s Upland headquarters, pulled in, parked, and wandered to the entrance where she was welcomed (by Dr. Robert) and ushered to a seat. She remembers what followed very vividly: "Within a few moments, the sun came out and shined through the stained glass windows. Purple light bathed body, mind, and spirit ... literally." At the end of the service she stood before a "beautiful angelic woman" (Dr. Earlyne) with her left hand toward the heavens and beyond, while her right hand gently touched Peggy’s sternum, whispering, "Your breathing will be fine." How could she have known about the respiratory problems, Peggy remembers wondering...?
Fast forward to the present where Rev. Peggy Tennent can be found at Astara’s center four or five days each week, ministering to Astarians all over the world by phone, via email and through prayer work. She also teaches seminars and speaks at Sunday Services.
Peggy has two ordinations: one from Universal Life Church in 1993 and one from Astara in 2007. A healer as well as minister, she is also a Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist practicing Biofeedback, Lymphatic and CranioSacral Therapies, among many others.
