Received Bachelor of Arts Degree from Occidental College in 1978. She then attended Purdue University, where she received her Masters and PhD in 1986.

From the time she was first born to her wonderful parents, Earlyne and Robert Chaney, she's been blessed with metaphysical, spiritual teachings from both her parents. Each of them taught her wonderful body, mind and spirit life lessons, all of which she talked about in her book, Memories – My Parents the Mystics. She knows that she cannot fill the shoes of either her mother or father, nor would she even try, but she brings her life-long spiritual education to run Astara, which her dear parents founded in 1951 to meet the highest spiritual good of all Astara's members. She helped bring the Degree Lessons, as well as many of her Mom and Dad's books up to date while keeping their wonderful spiritual content.

"I love to participate in healing work (which my dear Mama taught me) at Astara's Spiritual Ceremony.

"My second book, Long Night's Journey Into Dawn – Ease Your Pain, I wrote to help every metaphysically-minded person through any trauma with which they may be dealing.

"I plan to run Astara in the best way possible for all Astarians and like-minded seekers, regularly turning to the Divine Guidance of my wonderful Mother and Father's spirits."
