Bless Your Pets

Our pets give us so much love that even when some of humanity is without the basics of food and shelter, loyal pets will stick by their owners even in the toughest of times. (at right, "Maggie"; below left, "Shiloh")

Astara’s Pet Blessing Ceremony this month is a great way to bless the pets in your life for the love they have given you, past and present. Last year, some of the most heart tugging photos we received were of pets who had passed over to the otherside, and donation blessings were made in their memory. They were represented by their photos during the ceremony.

Everyone who cannot attend the ceremony that will be held on Sunday, March 21st, immediately following the regular 11:00am service, is invited to send in pictures or blessing requests for family pets, whatever the species. You can also send a request online here. These will be included in the service and blessed along with those animals in attendance. If the pet is deceased, please indicate so, and he or she will be listed in the next available “In Memory” feature in The Voice.
