For the first time since 2001, Astara will lead a spiritual journey to Egypt. We will spend time in exploration and meditation from the spectacular pyramids and Sphinx on the Giza plateau, to the Temple complex on the Island of Philae, to the temples of Luxor and Karnak — and beyond. A Unique Anniversary Celebration

We’re looking forward to having you join us for Astara’s 59th Anniversary on Sunday, October 17. We’ll be starting off at 11 AM with a special Sunday of music and inspiration. Following a break for lunch, we’re hosting a remarkable event of sacred chanting and drumming. To help us celebrate, Astara is very pleased to be presenting The Grandmothers of Rainbow’s End from Yucca Valley, California.
The Women will begin with an hour of Chanting for Peace, a tradition begun through a teaching by Grandfather Joseph Rael/Beautiful Painted Arrow. “In 1984, I received the vision to build peace chambers or sound chambers where people chant together to bring about peace.... Chanting affects our bodies on a cellular level and it affects all the earth and plants as well. It clears away blocks so that life energy can flow uninterrupted; it frees stuck energy in the physical world around us. Chanting also brings new energy from the heavens.... In chanting we plant the here-and-now in the seeds of our intentions for the future.” Although there are a number of special chambers, Chanting for Peace can be done anywhere and any time the commitments of time and energy and right intent are willing to be given.

Since more and more studies have shown that memory is active at the cellular level, that memories are actually stored within cells, the vibratory frequencies of the Peace Chants can be added to through repeated chanting. You can allow them to enter everything you do. They can, in effect, help you “become the change you seek in the world.”

After about an hour of chanting for peace, The Women will “Sit the Drum,” a large ceremonial drum dedicated to sacred Ceremony and Dance. The Drum is played communally and is said to shift the heartbeat of the human body to syncronize with the heartbeat of the Earth. The songs they will sing are offered as prayers. The hide and wood of The Drum come alive at the first beat and the whole room soon reverberates with the rhythmic vibrations of The Drum and the sound of the human voice singing the ancient words of Native American languages. The two form a connection between The People and the Spirit World.

As with chanting, The Drum and The Sing will enter your memory at the cellular level. Both the Chanting and The Drum will be powerful and moving experiences as ancient earthbeats and human voice meet in a resonant blend of healing and power and merging of the Spirit World with the elements of past, present and future worlds.

Out of respect for the sacred nature of these ceremonies, there is to be no recording and no pictures taken of The Drum.

Pranic Healing Classes at Astara's Center

Come learn the Pranic Healing system of energy originated by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui. It is based on the healing techniques that use “prana” to balance, harmonize and transform the body’s energy processes. Starting in June, there will be three Level 1 MCKS Pranic Healing® Classes at Astara offered by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui’s student Kei Okubo, who is a certified Pranic Healing instructor. Anyone who attends one of these introductory classes is eligible to attend the Advanced Class led by Master Co coming early next year. The last available workshop is: October 23 and 24.
